20/21 academic year applications to StudentFM
If a student’s country or the UK impose a travel ban restricting arrival, the student must contact StudentFM or their booking agent. StudentFM will amend the contract end date to coincide with any weeks lost during the applicable period and add the weeks onto the existing term. The contract will be extended at no further cost to the student. Should the tenant require their room during the applicable period, Student FM will honor this with only weeks lost being added to the end of the tenancy. All rent stated on the assured shorthold tenancy (contract) must be paid in line with payment due dates. Please note, any delayed arrivals my incur council tax fees from the start of their tenancy.
If a student cannot obtain a Visa, they should provide a copy of the rejection letter to StudentFM within 7 days of receiving it. The letter must include the student name and date issued. Upon receipt of the evidence, StudentFM will cancel the booking and refund any rent paid.
Early Contract Release For 20/21
A tenancy remains valid unless an agreement is reached between the Tenant(s) and Landlord or a suitable replacement is found. All rent should be paid in line with your tenancy agreement until an agreement is reached or a suitable replacement is found.
