Fargate has high street names in the heart of the city, the Devonshire quarter is quirky and independent, while the Sheffield antiques quarter is a treasure trove of nic nacs, bric-a-brac and antiquities you never knew you needed. Then you have the Meadowhall shoping centre that offers everything you need under one roof. Eccelsall Road is an incredibly fashionable part of town, while the Moor Market is foodie heaven!
Travel
With a tram stop just round the corner and great bus routes within the city too, you will easily be able to get around the City. And Sheffield’s compact city centre also means you can walk to lots of places, including Crookes Valley Park where you can stroll around the large lake or Leopold Square, with its selection of bars and restaurants tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Sheffield itself has great road and rail links with the M1 running along the edge of the city and direct rail links to London, Leeds and Manchester. You’re also on the doorstep of the Peak District with its pretty villages and rolling hills – perfect for an afternoon out in the countryside when all your assignments are finished.
